  1. Make ready 1 cup basmati rice
  2. Make ready 1/4 cup french bean pieces
  3. Get 1/2 cup fresh green peas

  5. Prepare 1/2 cup green capsicum pieces
  6. Take To grind for green paste :
  7. Prepare 2 cups chopped coriander leaves
  8. Make ready 1/2 cup mint leaves
  9. Make ready 4-5 green chillies

  11. Take 2 tbsp ghee
  12. Prepare 1 tbsp oil
  13. Prepare 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  14. Prepare 1 tbsp cashewnuts pieces
  15. Get 1 tbsp raisins
  16. Get 1/2 tsp garam masala
  17. Take to taste Salt
Steps to make Green Pulao (Jain):
  1. Wash basmati rice and soak for 2 hours. Parboiled rice.keep aside.
  2. Boil french beans and green peas together. Chop capsicum in small pieces. Wash, peel and chop raw banana.
  3. Grind coriander leaves,mint leaves and chillies with little salt to prepare smooth chutney (if needed add 1-2 tbsp water)
  4. In thick bottom kadhai add and heat ghee & oil. Add cumin seeds,as they splutter,add capsicum pieces,mix and saute for 5 mins. Add raw banana pieces,mix and saute,cook till tender. Add & saute cashewnuts pieces and raisins.
  5. Now add grinded green chutney paste. Add and mix boiled peas and french beans.
  6. Now add parboiled basmati rice,mix gently, cook on slow flame on gas for 5 mins.
  7. Serve/ Relish Hot Green Pulao with Gujarati Kadhi.
