  2. Make ready onion

  9. Prepare 2 pcs whole tomato
  10. Get 3 tbsp tomato paste

I used tofu that I had coated with garam masala for a different recipe and that definitely added some spice. I subbed garlic-ginger paste for the garlic and ginger and tomato powder for the paste.

  1. Chopped the green beans
  2. Chopped the onions, garlic and coriander
  3. Boil 2 whole tomato and remove the skin
  4. In a frying pan with extra virgin olive oil sauté the garlic, onion, green beans, tomato then add salt and pepper. Let it simmer for 10 minutes then add 3 tbsp of tomato paste and the pimenton de la vera or smoked paprika. Cover it with lid, once the green beans are tender add the coriander.
  5. For the tofu cut it in square and make sure to dry it with paper towel for any excess water. Season it with salt and pepper then fry them in the pan with canola oil until you get the crispness texture.
  6. Serve it in a dish and mix the fried tofu

There are many varieties of tofu in the market. You will need extra firm regular tofu for this recipe. Please make sure that you get regular tofu and not the The type of green bean that I used is known as "sitaw" or "sitao" in the Philippines.
