The ingredients needed to make Mum's Paratha:
  1. Prepare 3 cups plain flour
  2. Prepare 30 grams butter
  3. Take 250 ml water
  4. Get 1 tsp salt
  5. Get 10 tsp oil

  1. Put the flour into a mixing bowl. - 2. Put water with salt and butter into a small pan. Bring to boil. - 3. Pour the hot water into the flour mixing bowl. - 4. Carefully mix them using a wooden spoon. You might not need to use all the water, you need just enough to make a soft dough. - 5. Leave the dough aside for 5 minutes then knead the dough for few minutes or till smooth
  2. Divide them into 10 small rolls Using rolling pin, flatten the rolls into a round disc about 15 to 20cm. Take 1tsp of oil and spread onto the disc. Cut them halfway, as per photo, and roll them into a cone.
  3. Turn it and press it down.
  4. Rest the bread for 15 minutes. - *9. Now roll them flat and cook them in a frying pan turning once untill both sides are cooked.

One couldn't resist the taste even if not. Methi Paratha, a shallow fried traditional Indian flat bread prepared from fenugreek leaves, whole wheat flour and gram flour, is a healthy alternative to Simple Paratha and one of the best Indian breakfast. They need not necessarily be rich and gourmet, but what makes them special is the memory attached to it - of. A dish that is meat and bread rolled into one, you'll love kheema paratha.
