- Prepare 1/2 kg Lauki/Bottle Gourd
- Take 1 cup Sugar
- Make ready 1/2 cup Milk
- Prepare 1 tbsp Ghee
- Take 1 tbsp Almond flakes
- Prepare 1/4 tsp Cardamom seeds
Instructions to make Lauki Barfi:
- Peel off lauki(bottle gourd), - remove seeds and wash.
- Then grate them with grater.
- Heat ghee in pan or kadahi and add cardamom seeds.
- Put grated lauki in kadahi and cook on high flame.
- Stir continuously and cook on high flame till water evaporate.
- Add milk and mix well.
- Stir and cook till it semi dry.
- Now add sugar and cook till ghee starts separate.
- When it becomes dry and golden brown in colour, switch off the flame.
- Transfer this halwa in greased square pan.
- Sprinkle chopped almonds and let it cool.
- Cut in square and enjoy yummy lauki barfi.
